Current Events

MAY -- Paws For The Purr-fect Taste: A charitable wine and dessert tasting event that raises funds for the clinic's spay/neuter and vaccination programs. This event also features a dessert tasting contest. Local restaurants donate their specialty dessert for the contest and event participants serve as the judges. The 2002 "Best Doggone Dessert in Flagstaff" winner was the Red Lobster Vanilla Bean Cheesecake. 

SEPTEMBER -- Kitty De Chelly Days: This event is sponsored by Evelyn Martin of Washington D.C. and is hosted by PMVC in Chinle and Ganado on the Navajo Reservation. During this two-day event the clinic provides free feline leukemia vaccinations and spay/neuter surgeries for cats. In 2002, Plateauland received a $5,000 grant from PetsMart Charities for this much needed service. 

OCTOBER -- Make A Difference Day: Part of the National Make A Difference Day Event promoted by USA Today, PMVC conducts a shot clinic in Flagstaff that features $1 rabies vaccinations as well as other pet vaccinations for $5.

NOVEMBER -- PMVC Charity Auction: Businesses throughout Northern Arizona donate a variety of items to help PMVC raise funds for clinics as well as the educational program.
